If you smell gas
Leave the area. Do not flick switches, light anything or use your phone inside. Turn the gas off at the bottle or the meter if you can do it safely, open the doors and windows on your way out, and call us from outside.
We test the whole installation under pressure, find the leak, repair it and certify the repair.
Certificates, and when you need one
A gas certificate is required for new gas installations and alterations, and is often requested when a property is sold, rented or insured. If you have had work done without one, or you cannot find the paperwork, we inspect and test the installation and issue what it needs.
The certificate is issued by our own licensed gasfitter.

How quickly can you come for a suspected leak?
Tell us what you can smell and where, and we give you the earliest time we can be there. Turn the gas off at the bottle or meter in the meantime and stay out of the area.
What does a gas certificate cover?
It records that the gas installation or the work described complies with the Gas Regulations, who did it, and when. It is issued by the licensed gasfitter responsible.
The previous owner's gas work has no certificate. Can you fix that?
We inspect and test the installation. If it complies we certify it; if it does not we tell you what needs correcting and price the work.
