Who we are
Griffin Hoskin, a Licensed Plumber and Licensed Drainlayer with years of hands-on experience across Auckland's renovation and plumbing industry, leads the HW Group team and is often the person at your door. HW Group is built as a company, not a one-man band: our own licensed gasfitter for gas work, an in-house designer for renovation projects, and trusted trades we manage on every build.
HW Group exists because too much plumbing in Auckland is rushed, left uncertified or handed to whoever was free that day. Our answer is simple: certified tradesmen only, the price agreed before we start, and work that is done and signed off by the licensed person who did it.
We are registered with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board, and you can check our licences on the public register in about a minute.
Licensed and insured
Plumbing and drainage done and signed off by a Licensed Plumber and Drainlayer. Gas work certified by our own licensed gasfitter. The business is insured.
Price agreed first
We look at the job, tell you what the fix involves, and give you the price before any work starts. If the plan changes, so does the price, before we go on.
Clear communication
You hear from us quickly, you know when we are coming, and you understand what we found and why we recommend what we recommend.
Tidy, respectful work

Licensed plumber vs. anyone with a van
Sanitary plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying in New Zealand must be done by someone licensed with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board. A licensed plumber can do the work and sign it off themselves.

The PGDB public register lists every licensed plumber, gasfitter and drainlayer in New Zealand. Search for HW Group's tradesmen and check the licence column is current. Registration numbers are not published by the Board, so nobody should be quoting one at you.
