Continuous flow, the modern default
A continuous flow unit, the gas califont most people know, heats water as you use it, so there is no tank to run cold and no cylinder taking up a cupboard. It is wall-mounted outside, efficient, and sized to the house so two showers and the dishwasher can run together.
We supply and install Rinnai and Rheem units, and service and repair most brands already on the wall.
Gas cylinders where they make sense
Some homes suit a gas storage cylinder, indoor or outdoor, particularly where the existing pipework is set up for it or the household draws a lot of hot water at once. We talk you through both and price the one that fits.
Either way the installation is done and certified by our own licensed gas fitter.

Common questions
My gas hot water has stopped. Is it the unit or the gas?
Often neither. It can be the igniter, a sensor, an empty LPG bottle or the water flow. We diagnose before recommending a repair or a replacement.
How long does a continuous flow unit last?
Around 15 to 20 years with a service every couple of years. If yours is older and playing up, replacement is often better value than a run of repairs.
Can I run gas hot water on LPG bottles?
Yes. Most North Shore homes without natural gas run continuous flow on twin 45 kg bottles with automatic changeover, so you never run out.
