No hot water, water that runs cold quickly, rusty water or a leak near the cylinder are all worth a look. Tell us the cylinder type and where it sits if you can.
We check the cylinder, its valves, the element or thermostat and the supply. Then you hear whether a repair or a replacement is the practical call, and the price, before you decide.
One slow fixture is a different problem from several drains backing up at once. Gurgling, slow water and smells around an outside gully are the signs worth telling us about.
We assess the affected drains, the access and the condition of the pipework before clearing. If a drain is cracked or root-bound, the repair or relay is done and certified by our licensed drainlayer.

After A toilet that runs on, refills by itself or leaks at the base wastes water and damages the floor. A tap that drips or a mixer that won't shut off is the same story in miniature.
We check the cistern, the pan, the seals and the supply, or the cartridge and the connections on a tap, and give you a price for the fix or the replacement before we start.
Gas hobs, continuous flow hot water, appliance connections and pipework. If you smell gas, leave the area, avoid switches and flames, and call us from somewhere safe.
Gas work is done and certified by our own licensed gasfitter, and you receive the compliance paperwork the job requires.

Then our own plumbers and gasfitters build it, with one project manager and dates agreed up front.

We trace the likely source before opening anything, explain the repair and the access it needs, and give you the price. Burst pipes get assessed on arrival and the risk controlled first.

The PGDB public register lists every licensed plumber, gasfitter and drainlayer in New Zealand. Search for HW Group's tradesmen and check the licence column is current. Registration numbers are not published by the Board, so nobody should be quoting one at you.

Yes. HW Group's plumbing and drainage work is done by a Licensed Plumber and Licensed Drainlayer registered with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board, gas work is done and certified by our own licensed gasfitter, and the business is insured.
Search the PGDB public register (pgdb.co.nz, linked from the licensing section on this page) by the tradesman's name and check the licence column shows a current licence. The Board does not publish registration numbers, so a number quoted at you proves nothing.
We work seven days, 7am to 5pm, including Saturdays and Sundays, and we come back to you quickly with with the earliest time we can be there. Send the form or call, tell us what is wrong and your suburb.
A failed element, thermostat or valve is a repair. A cylinder that is corroding, leaking from the tank or well past fifteen years is a replacement. We tell you which you have before any work starts.
Plumbing and drainage work is done and certified by a Licensed Plumber and Drainlayer, and we stand behind it. If something we did is not right, tell us and we come back.
