Why pressure drops
A whole-house pressure problem is usually one of four things: a leak on the main between the toby and the house, a partly closed or failing valve, a low-pressure hot water system, or old pipework that has narrowed with corrosion.
One tap or one room with weak flow is a different fault, and cheaper. We work out which you have before recommending anything.
New mains and pressure upgrades
Old mains in galvanised steel or Dux Quest are replaced with a new run from the toby to the house. If your hot water is still low pressure, an upgrade to a mains pressure cylinder or a continuous flow unit changes how the whole house feels.
You hear the options and the price before any digging starts.

Is the leak on my side or Watercare's?
From the meter at the boundary to the house is yours. Before the meter is Watercare's. We check the meter first, and if the fault is on the public side we tell you who to call.
What pressure should a house have?
Most North Shore homes sit around 500 kPa at the boundary. If yours is well below that, or above and unregulated, we tell you and fit a valve where one is needed.
Do you do water filters?
Yes. Under-sink units for drinking water through to whole-house systems for taste, sediment and chlorine. We fit what suits the house and the budget.
